My editing philosophy is rooted in the idea that our writing exists as a communal act. Literary journals and book publishers don’t exist without community—without a series of relationships between readers, writers, and editors all engaging with a project. To be in community with others therefore means supporting equitable access to resources and advocating for creative expression. It also means working to understand a writer’s individualized circumstances to put their well-being at the center of a creative environment.

I’m passionate about establishing writing community and foregrounding collective care through my practice as an editor. I have over six years of editorial experience working with presses, periodicals, university-affiliated magazines, and independent literary journals reading high volumes of multigenre work while providing thoughtful feedback. I am an active collaborator focused on supporting writers to realize their artistic vision with care and intentionality. I look forward to reading your writing!
